COMMUNITY-BASED FOREST AND NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

Local communities are considered to be the most effective group in managing and protecting forests and other natural resources in their locality. Therefore, CCD prioritize its focuses on developing projects of forest protection and development, biodiversity and natural resources conservation with the full and effective participation of local communities through typical activities such as

  • Capacity building and awareness-raising for the local people;
  • Community participatory planning;
  • Creating forest and natural resource management groups with core members are local people;
  • Land allocation associated with forest allocation to residential communities,
  • Formulate sustainable livelihood models for communities.
