PROTECTED AREAS AS SOLUTIONS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE AND BIODIVERSITY CRISES
In COP26, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) published a call to subside fossil fuel production and greenhouse gas emissions, thus conserving environment and transforming to nature-positive economic system. The call emphasized on restore and conserve planetary ecosystems may reduce 1/3 the cost of climate mitigation that human need. Moreover, the call delivered potentials to diminish pandemic expansion and the obligation of developing eco-friendly, ecosystem-based governments and economies.
Within its vision and mission, Center for Nature Conservation and Development (CCD) supports the restoration and protection of biodiversity, and improving the management of Vietnam Protected Area systems. CCD is supporting the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and welcoming any cooperation that towards it.
