Abstract:
Lang Chanh Protection Forest (RPH) is located in Lang Chanh district – Thanh Hoa province. Currently, the unit is managing and protecting 10,292.14 hectares of forestry land, including many rich forest areas with many hundreds of years old precious timber trees. Besides, because the terrain is strongly divided by streams and cliffs, there are many beautiful and majestic waterfalls in the forest. On the other hand, traditional cultural values always attract and attract tourists, such as the culture of Thai and Muong ethnic groups; historical, cultural and spiritual sites such as Meo Pagoda, Ten Pua Temple, etc. However, Lang Chanh PF has a lot of tourism potential that can be exploited, bringing more experiences to tourists.
Center for Nature Conservation and Development (CCD) cooperates with Lang Chanh PF Management Board to implement the project of developing eco-tourism, resort and entertainment until 2030. The project’s objective is to promote promotion. ecotourism, resort and entertainment activities in Lang Chanh PF associated with economic, cultural – social development of the local community. During this process, CCD focuses on orienting community-based tourism and ecotourism activities to provide the disadvantaged with opportunities to learn, work and increase their income. Such activities also help to raise public awareness and responsibility towards nature, environment and culture.
