ENDANGERED PRIMATES GROUP

– Delacour’s langur (Trachypithecus Delacouri ) – Critically Endangered (CR)
CCD’s activities focus not only on protecting the population of Delacour’s langur and their habitats, but also improving livelihood through the promotion of community-based ecotourism, raising conservation awareness, and getting the attention of local people in order to protect Delacour’s langur.

CCD’s priority is to support conservation this species in Van Long, Kim Bang forest and Huong Son (Ha Noi)

– Vượn đen má trắng(Trachypithecus Delacouri )
Currently, Northern white-cheeked gibbon is severely affected by illegal hunting and habitat loss. In Vietnam, most individuals are protected in the protected area network. In addition, habitat fragmentation also leads to isolated populations by geographical distance.

CCD is making an effort to develop a long-term conservation plan for Northern white-cheeked gibbons in Vietnam. We are working closely with relevant nature reserves to strengthen management capacity, endangered species monitoring programs and community-based conservation education.

– Slow loris (Nycticebus bengalensis) and Pygmy loris (Nycticebus pygmaeus) – Endangered (EN)

Center for Nature Conservation and Development (CCD) in collaboration with Xuan Lien Nature Reserve conducted a comprehensive survey for loris in the reserve. The survey results will provide important information to develop more effective and long-term conservation plans, strengthen management capacity for staff to protect population and habitat for these species.
